Warehousing

The Sands Fridge Lines freezer warehouse is run on an operational capability second to none and is located in Forrestfield, Perth.

Our warehouse has the following dimensions:

• 6000 square metres across two zones
• 10 metres high
• Zone 1: Rooms 1-3; 50 metres deep; all freezer
• Zone 2: Rooms 4-6; 25 metres deep; one freezer, two chiller

All rooms in the warehouse have a combination of single and double deep racking for up to 6500 pallets (depending on configuration) and there are 14 loading docks with staging areas.

Security is a priority, and we operate with a fully integrated monitoring system that requires swipe card access. Sands has multiple cameras and recording equipment throughout the warehouse, and from the last quarter of 2022 will provide customers with on time, accurate information about their stock via web access.

Our significant experience in warehousing and distribution allows us to operate an optimum service, built on safety and cost-effective outcomes.

Chiller

The Sands Fridge Lines chiller facility features world class design and construction and 24/7 temperature monitoring using state of the art technology.

Disaster proofing has been incorporated into the design, with a firewall dividing the warehouse, each side having a separate power supply so we can continue to operate in the case of a catastrophe.

Our warehouse has the following dimensions:

• 2800 square meters
• 150 by 28-meter receival and staging area
• Chiller/Freezer 8500 pallets depending on configuration
• Dry warehouse 1500-2000 pallets depending on product

The Sands warehouse offers a full range of services to meet the different needs of all our customers. All rooms are fully racked, with identification marking for product location and a combination of single and double deep bays.

Sands offers the following services:

• Short- or long-term storage
• Cross docking, full store or pick and pack options
• Container de-stuffing and storage or on forwarding

Sands has 4,000 dry pallet spaces available, utilising both covered and uncovered storage areas.
